
Tomei High Performance Timing Belt - B-series (B16/B18)
An important component that's often overlooked when building high power engines is the timing belt. A broken timing belt can result in bent valves, and in extreme cases, complete engine damage.
The Tomei timing belt teeth are made using a specially formulated fiber-infused rubber compound and a wear-resistant low friction cover fabric. These materials are an upgrade over traditional OEM counterparts, increasing belt longevity whilst also reducing operating noise. Strong glass fiber cords of height tensile strength are used to reinforce the belt, helping to minimize belt stretch even under high/heavy loads. The low-friction, crack resistant blue top layer helps prolong the life span of the belt whilst also keeping operating noise to a minimum.
Engine application options: B16A and B16B/B18C
Note: The JDM Civic Type-R B16B engine uses the same belt as a B18C engine due to having the same 7mm deck height as a B18C block.
